The advantages of the Europiclon air filter

The biggest advantage of this filter is that it is easy to maintain. Because the housing can be taken apart with a few simple actions, you can replace your primary and secondary air filters in minutes. You can remove the closing clips by hand, so you don't even need any tools. This is ideal if you ever come to a standstill in the field with a clogged filter. If you also want to remove the tension spring, one screwdriver is enough.

The second major advantage of this filter is the lifespan and the filter's ability to retain dust. These may seem like two different plus points, but they are closely related. After all, a filter that can retain a lot of dust can also quickly become clogged. With the Europiclon filter elements you can be assured that the dust is well retained, but also that your machine can continue with this filter for longer than with cheaper alternative air filters.

The third advantage is that you can remove the collected dust from the housing with the dust discharge valve without having to remove the housing. This gives a much longer lifespan and prevents you from having to unnecessarily remove the housing. We recommend removing the collected dust via the dust discharge valve each time before using the machine. It is a small action, but it will make your filter last much longer. After all, if you do not remove the dust, you are filtering old dust again and the chance of your filter clogging increases.

Maintenance of your Mann Europiclon filter

You replace the primary filter as soon as the indicator shows it or after a maximum of two years. If you do not use the indicator, it is wise to regularly replace your primary filter during heavy use in dusty environments. In this case, perform a regular visual inspection of the filter by loosening the clamps and checking that the filter is not clogged with dust. Above all, avoid waiting too long and causing the performance of your machine to decline. Not only because this is not pleasant, but mainly to prevent further damage, for example due to overheating.

It may seem tempting to clean the primary filter with an air compressor, but we do not recommend this. There is a good chance that the filter will be damaged when cleaning with air. If there is damage to the filter media, you can assume that contamination is coming through. You then completely undermine the very reason you install a quality filter.

The only reason to blow your filter clean with air pressure is if you come to a standstill during work and you do not have a replacement filter in stock. In this case, keep in mind that you never use more than 5 bar of air pressure.

The secondary filter is the filter that prevents contaminants from entering your system when you replace the primary filter. You must replace this filter every 5 replacements of the primary filter. It is advisable to have this done by a specialized company, but if you do this yourself, make sure that after removing the primary air filter, the housing is as clean as possible before removing the secondary filter.

The dust discharge valve is basically maintenance-free. At most, inspect it for damage and breakages. The same goes for the housing. If you don't see any visible damage here, there is no reason to replace it.
