Breather filtration

Every hydraulic system with a hydraulic tank has a breather filter. This filter ensures that the air contained in the tank is clean and free of dust and small particles. This of course goes without saying, but what happens when the filter becomes clogged fewer know. The moment there is no longer a good flow of clean air to the hydraulic tank, a vacuum can occur. This can cause small air bubbles to form in the hydraulic system. Due to the high pressure, these tiny bubbles can implode, creating extremely high temperatures of up to thousands of degrees. You can imagine that this is disastrous for hoses, cylinders and valve blocks. Therefore, always make sure your breather filters are replaced on time.
