Hydraulic filtration

One of the most important systems in construction machinery is hydraulics. This is where the real work is done. To keep your hydraulic system at its best, you should change the hydraulic oil and filters regularly. From the outside, you cannot easily see whether the oil and filters need changing, because it is a closed system. However, there are some things you can look out for. For instance, you can regularly check whether your filters and oil are still clean. Clogged filters cause poor circulation in your hydraulic system, causing the temperature to rise. After all, where energy is added and not converted into movement causes temperatures to rise. Did you know that when hydraulic oil reaches a temperature of 85 degrees, instead of 60 degrees, the life of the hydraulic components reduces to just one tenth! Yes you read that right, only one tenth. The second thing you can do is to use pressure gauges and pressure switches. Pressure switches switch automatically the moment the pressure gets too high or too low. This prevents damage caused by the pressure going too high unnoticed. Pressure gauges can also tell you if there is no leak or blockage in your system, but with a visual inspection.
