In the 1950’s John Deere started manufacturing construction machinery. Their first bull dozers and graders quickly found their way to construction sites all over the world and over the years their machine line-up increased. Currently John Deere construction machinery has a workforce of over 10.000 people and manufactures well over 40.000 machines a year. One of their flagship models is the 944K hybrid wheel loader. The 944K is specialy designed for heavy duty in quarries and mines and combines diesel and electric hybrid power. Reduced fuel consumption and increased efficiency is one of the key drivers for its success. JD is also known as one of the most innovative in the business as they combine many of their developments over the other branches of the John Deere company. Manufacturing machines for multiple closely related industries, such as agriculture and forestry, made the one of the largest and most innovative manufacturers in the world.
