Komatsu

In 1921 Komatsu was founded by Meitaro Takeuchi. If this name rings a bell you are right. Meitaro’s son Akio founded Takeuchi in 1963. Although the family ties both brands are completely separate companies. Komatsu’s first big success was the D50 bulldozer in the 50’s and 60’s. This machine cemented their place in the worldwide construction sites. Through innovation, like the hydraulic excavators and wheel loaders in the 70’s, they grew to the company we know today. Komatsu now has over 32.000 employees construction over 100.000 machines a year.
